Psychology Graduate – Full-Time (Temp to Perm)

Are you a Psychology or related graduate looking to start a rewarding career supporting children and young people with additional needs?
We are working with a specialist education provision in Chorley seeking a motivated and resilient graduate to join their team on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a setting dedicated to supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism, and other learning difficulties.
The Role:
* Supporting students aged 10–16 on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Helping learners to manage emotions, develop social skills, and engage positively in education
* Working closely with teachers and therapists to implement tailored support strategies
* Encouraging independence, confidence, and personal growth
The Ideal Candidate:
* Psychology (or related subject) graduate seeking practical experience in education, SEN, or mental health
* Confident, patient, and resilient, with strong communication skills
* Able to build positive relationships with young people who may display challenging behaviour
* Committed to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
