Contract type: This is a fixed‑term role for 24 months.

The Role
The team works across a broad range of areas linked to statutory and non‑statutory duties, protecting and improving the health, wellbeing and safety of our residents. We utilise data and evidence to help guide decisions on investment and targeting of particular programmes of work. As part of this role you will work towards completing a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead or support data analysis, surveys and reports presenting complex findings to diverse audiences
* Support delivery of statutory public health intelligence, including JSNA, Annual Public Health Report and outbreak response
* Coordinate Joint Strategic Needs Assessment on behalf of Health and Wellbeing Board
* Lead annual city‑wide wellbeing survey and other lifestyle surveys
* Conduct deep‑dive analysis on priority areas such as child development and domestic abuse
* Develop reporting dashboards to support service monitoring such as Environmental Health and Trading Standards and delivery of NHS Health Checks
About You
* Ability to understand and interpret statistics and work with data, with a keen interest in developing these skills through the apprenticeship
* Self‑motivated, able to operate well within a team and balance organisational workload while studying and completing apprenticeship assignments
* Knowledge and experience of spreadsheets and databases for storing and retrieving data
