In this exciting role at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), you will drive and deliver the Trust’s estates, facilities and compliance strategies to ensure that MFT provides class‑leading FM services.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the overall management of a £167m Estates & Facilities revenue budget, including £115m in PFI contracts with over 1,700 staff and £52m for directly provided services employing 760 staff.
* Manage risk & compliance, commercial opportunities, finance and strategy across the Group on behalf of Estates & Facilities and collaborate with the established team of site directors.
* Act as the Designated Person for the Group and provide expert leadership in Estates and Facilities at senior level.
* Align Estates and Facilities services to the Trust’s clinical, workforce, research and innovation strategies and co‑produce improvements with staff, FM providers and service users.
* Build, maintain and utilise successful relationships with ProjectCo, Sodexo and Engie, ensuring effective partnership delivery.
* Present budgetary performance and progress towards cost‑effective care on a regular basis to senior executives.
* Lead organisational change and apply knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks for Estates and Facilities.
Qualifications
* Extensive director‑level experience in a large and complex organisation.
* Strong track record in financial management with an ability to interpret and present budgetary data.
* Demonstrated experience delivering organisational change and substantial knowledge of the legal and regulatory frameworks for Estates and Facilities.
* Innovative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and quality.
* Patient‑focused, working with clinical teams to develop environments that support evidence‑based care aligned to Trust strategies.
* Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work at a high pace and resolve complex challenges.
