Job Description:
Overview: Leonardo is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Integration) for a high-profile UK MOD project within the Combat Air business group. The role involves working with Electronic Warfare products, system integration, testing, verification, validation, and trials, supporting project milestones. The candidate should have a strong problem-solving aptitude and experience managing system interdependencies across business groups.
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain at least SC security clearance, with possible access to UK eyes only information.
Location: This role requires some office-based work at Luton.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with professional engineers in a team environment.
2. Manage daily tasks of junior engineers supporting integration activities.
3. Develop mentoring and coaching skills.
4. Lead subsystem testing and evaluation in laboratory settings.
5. Produce, analyze, and document test data.
6. Achieve acceptance/certification from relevant authorities.
7. Provide subsystem functional knowledge for system testing.
8. Ensure evidence collection from system-level activities.
9. Support the development of system acceptance test procedures.
10. Assist software/hardware teams with low-level functionality development.
11. Engage with customer networks to coordinate activities and timelines.
12. Support the development of system trial strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Ability to obtain SC clearance for UK-caveated programs.
2. Strong technical background, preferably in airborne/EW systems.
3. Experience with IV&V activities, including test plan and report writing.
4. Proficiency in technical documentation.
5. Experience with design compliance assessments.
6. Ability to handle complex designs and uncertainties.
7. Supportive of design and delivery teams in developing technical solutions.
8. Self-motivated with problem-solving skills.
9. Excellent communication skills.
10. Experience working with diverse stakeholders.
Desirable Skills:
1. Experience with military system design and testing standards.
2. Knowledge of Synthetic Environments for engineering solutions.
