What You'll Be Doing
* Programming, setting, and operating 3, 4 & 5-axis CNC milling machines
* Interpreting engineering drawings to produce precision components to tight tolerances (~20µm)
* Creating setup and tooling documentation to ensure repeatable, high-quality results
* Inspecting and qualifying your own work using measuring equipment and quality reports
* Working independently to meet deadlines without compromising quality
* Supporting and training team members where needed
* Identifying time and cost-saving improvements
* Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment
What You Bring
* Strong CNC milling experience (ideally 5+ years)
* Confident programming and operating 3, 4 & 5 axis machines
* Proficient with Heidenhain controls (Fanuc a bonus)
* Able to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
* Experience with machines such as Doosan, Matsuura, or Mazak
* Comfortable inspecting your own work and owning quality
* Positive, proactive, "can-do" attitude
Bonus points if you also have:
* Apprenticeship background
* Experience machining large components (up to 2.5m)
* Overhead crane or manual handling training (training available)
