Hygiene Manager – Manufacturing
Location: Blackpool
Salary: £50,000
Hours: Monday to Friday
A well-established manufacturing business in Blackpool is seeking an experienced Hygiene Manager to lead and develop the site’s hygiene function. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the hygiene team to ensure all site areas meet strict hygiene and safety standards.
* Develop and implement hygiene schedules, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Conduct audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.
* Manage hygiene budgets, chemical usage, and contractor performance.
* Work closely with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient manufacturing environment.
* Provide training and guidance to ensure a strong hygiene culture across all departments.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience as a Hygiene Manager within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Strong understanding of hygiene, microbiological standards, and food safety regulations.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Capable of driving performance through effective people management and attention to detail.
* Confident working cross-functionally and delivering improvements across teams.
