Job Description
My client, an innovative, trusted Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching
for a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their expert team of specialist engineers, based near the beautiful, historical city of Bath.
Essential Criteria:
* A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or similar field Demonstrable commercial experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), drainage strategy reports, and working with Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
* Working knowledge of the application of relevant Section Agreements (i.e., S38, S102, S104)
Competent in the usage of MicroDrainage WinDES, AutoCAD, and other relevant softwares
Confident in the use of Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.) Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to have the following:
* A full UK driver's licence
* Working knowledge of the relevant industry standards in planning and technical guidelines, including the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), CIRIA SuDS Design Manual, Sewer Sector Guidance, and Building Regulations
In your new role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, you will join a growing team of specialists in their respective fields, with a view to developing your career alongside them. The role will involve a number of varied responsibilities, including:
Submitting Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports
Making planning applications for a range of minor projects and major developments Conducting appropriate research and using findings to write reports
Producing drawings and plans (using AutoCAD and lnfoDrainage software) to accompany the relevant reports
* Visiting sites and attending team meetings
