The Role:

* Provide strategic direction to Chief Executives office
* Lead Committee, Civic and Member Support functions
* Manage complex political relationships
* Ensure governance compliance
* Direct high-level stakeholder communications
* Oversee democratic processes

Required:

* Extensive local authority/public sector experience
* Expert knowledge of local authority governance
* Strong political acumen
* Experience in senior-level report writing

Additional Information:

* Evening meetings attendance required
* Largest economy in Thames Estuary outside London
* Key role in shaping local governance
