Clerk to the Council and Responsible Financial Officer

APPOINTMENT OF CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER
Salary within grade - Society of Local Council Clerks NCP
(SCP 13 – 20 - £3504 - £3929 p.a. for 26 hours per month)
If you have a genuine interest in helping our Council develop and deliver timely, quality services to the local community, this post is ideal.
You will ensure that all legal, statutory, financial and other governing provisions relating to the Council are observed, all Council meetings arranged and are properly administered and decisions effectively implemented whilst developing healthy working
partnerships with key local and regional bodies.
You will need to have experience of minute taking, basic knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, email and internet experience and be prepare to facilitate and attend monthly in person meetings
Suitably qualified (ideally with or be willing to obtain CiLCA – the Certificate in Local Council Administration), highly motivated, enthusiastic and community focused, you will bring sound leadership, administrative, communication, IT, financial and organisational skills and be flexible in approach and able to meet deadlines.
Attendance at monthly in person meeting with remote access will be essential.
