Overall Purpose of the Role
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and delivering the Chartwells Universities & Colleges Proposition. The main goal is to drive profitable revenue growth through participation and MAP2 growth, supporting sales and retention pipelines.
This will be achieved by creating measurable activation plans focusing on key categories such as lunch, hot beverages, and food to go, aiming to increase participation, spend, and frequency via apps, kiosks, and tills.
The role involves engaging with stakeholders to maximize activity potential, with all initiatives underpinned by market and internal insights, aligning with internal protocols and objectives.

* Developing and communicating the annual marketing plan collaboratively with key stakeholders
* Creating engaging promotional materials through third-party agencies and in-house tools within set budgets and timelines
* Managing third-party creative agencies and producing operational briefs for campaigns
* Building marketing asset templates using Canva for digital and print activities
* Developing and managing the marketing budget with approval from senior management
* Securing sponsorships to fund marketing activities
* Approving promotional business cases to support retail growth
Additional responsibilities include:
* Food development planning based on consumer insights
* Gathering and utilizing marketplace, consumer, and operator insights for planning
* Maintaining brand standards across all channels and materials
* Managing digital content on Uni Food Hub and kiosks
* Supporting student engagement and community marketing initiatives
* Supporting franchise campaigns and sales support activities
