Are you confident working with secondary school children and passionate about supporting their learning? We’re working with a friendly and supportive secondary school in Pontyclun that is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis.

Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing
As a Cover Supervisor in a secondary setting, you’ll play a key role in maintaining learning continuity during teacher absences. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supervising and delivering pre-prepared lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
* Maintaining a focused, safe, and engaging classroom environment
* Managing behaviour in line with school policies
* Taking registers and following safeguarding procedures
* Supporting students with their work and encouraging positive participation

What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for individuals who:
* Have experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school
* Are confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic
* Possess strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Have an understanding of the secondary curriculum (desirable but not essential)
* Are committed to fostering a respectful and inclusive learning environment

Requirements
If you don’t have these yet, we can support you in obtaining:
* An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
* Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
* Two professional references covering the past two years
