DL Advisory is seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Sales Director to establish and lead its corporate learning division in the UK. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for launching our London-based operation, scaling a high-performance sales function, and driving growth through the delivery of bespoke educational content and learning solutions for corporations.
The ideal candidate will be based in London, with strong familiarity or professional ties to the Romanian education and business ecosystem. Romania is one of our fastest-growing content and services markets, and insight into its corporate or educational sectors will be crucial in aligning cross-border delivery and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Business Launch & Market Entry
* Establish DL Advisory’s London-based sales function from the ground up, including recruitment, operations setup, and go-to-market activation.
* Represent DL Advisory in the UK corporate learning market as the face of the business, engaging early clients, stakeholders, and influencers.
* Position our learning and content offerings as high-impact investments for HR, L&D, and leadership teams in mid-to-large UK enterprises.
* Develop and execute a robust B2B sales strategy focused on custom corporate education solutions.
* Build and lead a sales team capable of delivering against ambitious revenue targets.
* Create and manage a sustainable pipeline of new business opportunities across sectors, including tech, finance, manufacturing, and healthcare.
Client Partnership & Product Fit
* Serve as a consultative partner to clients, diagnosing learning needs and aligning DL Advisory’s content to workforce development strategies.
* Collaborate with Romanian-based content development and instructional design teams to ensure cultural and operational coherence in client delivery.
* Contribute client feedback and industry insights to influence product and service innovation.
International Growth & Romania Market Link
* Leverage your understanding of the Romanian business environment to facilitate bilateral growth opportunities between UK clients and Romanian delivery partners.
* Monitor trends in the Romanian L&D market to support future expansion and partnership strategy.
* Act as a strategic connector between London-based corporate buyers and Romanian educational providers, where relevant.
Candidate Profile
Required Experience & Skills:
* Minimum 10 years of experience in B2B sales or commercial leadership roles within educational publishing, corporate training, or HR solutions.
* Demonstrated success in building or scaling sales operations in new markets, ideally within the UK or EMEA.
* A strong understanding of corporate learning and development, instructional design, and B2B content licensing or development.
* Executive-level communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
* Solid understanding of the Romanian market—ideally through direct experience, partnerships, or cultural/linguistic fluency.
* London-based and available for in-person business development and client relationship building.
Preferred:
* Familiarity with digital learning platforms, coaching services, or blended training solutions.
* ICF-certified coaching or NLP practitioner background.
* Fluency in Romanian is a plus.
