Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the successful delivery of luxury design projects from deposit payment through to final completion and handover. Acting as the central point of coordination and authority, the Senior Project Manager ensures that every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards, in line with client expectations and Krantz Designs brand values.

In addition to managing high-value projects directly, the Senior Project Manager acts as Line Manager to all Project Managers, providing leadership, structure, performance management, mentoring, and quality oversight across the department.

This is a senior-level position requiring extensive experience in high end residential and bespoke projects, exceptional client facing capability, commercial awareness, and proven hands on expertise using Gantt chart-based project management systems to program and control complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

· Take full ownership of high-value luxury residential projects from deposit through to completion and aftercare.

· Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project plans using Gantt chart–based software, ensuring clear sequencing of manufacturing, delivery, and installation.

· Oversee complex dependencies, installation sequencing, and contractor coordination.

· Ensure all milestones, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.

· Proactively manage risk, variations, and program changes, implementing solutions before they impact delivery.

· Lead critical site meetings and represent the business with authority and professionalism.

Line Management & Department Leadership

· Act as Line Manager to all Project Managers.

· Provide leadership, mentoring, and ongoing professional development to the PM team.

· Set standards for program management, documentation, client communication, and delivery excellence.

· Conduct performance reviews and support capability development across the department.

· Oversee workload allocation to ensure projects are appropriately resourced.

· Maintain consistency in reporting, risk management, and client experience across all projects.

Client Relationship Management

· Act as senior point of contact for high-value and complex client accounts.

· Build trust-based relationships through proactive, transparent, and solutions-focused communication.

· Confidently manage client expectations, variations, and challenges.

· Deliver a premium, white-glove client experience aligned with company values.

· Step in to resolve escalated issues where necessary.

Internal & External Coordination

· Work closely with designers, CAD team, workshop operations, and installation teams to ensure alignment.

· Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and specialist trades to ensure quality and timely delivery.

· Chair project meetings and provide clear direction to stakeholders.

· Ensure seamless handover between departments and stages of delivery.

Quality Control, Commercial Oversight & Compliance

· Ensure all projects meet company quality standards and design specifications.

· Maintain oversight of budgets, cost control, and variations.

· Identify commercial risks and protect project margin.

· Ensure documentation, SOP adherence, and compliance processes are consistently maintained.

Reporting & Governance

· Maintain accurate project documentation, Gantt timelines, version control, and reporting structures.

· Provide senior-level reporting on program status, financial performance, and risk.

· Ensure efficient final sign-off, snag resolution, and handover procedures.

· Continuously improve PM systems, processes, and best practice standards.

Requirements for Application (Essential)

Please note: This role is intended for an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record in delivering high-end residential projects. The successful candidate will act as Line Manager to all Project Managers.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

· Minimum 5 years' experience in a Project Management role within the luxury residential, bespoke joinery, interiors, or high-end construction sector.

· Proven experience using Gantt chart based project management software to program, track, and manage complex projects, dependencies, and installation sequencing (experience must be hands-on, not theoretical).

· Demonstrable experience managing multiple high-value projects simultaneously, from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

· Strong understanding of bespoke manufacturing processes, installation sequencing, and site coordination.

· Proven ability to manage contractors, suppliers, and internal teams with confidence and authority.

· Exceptional client-facing and customer service skills, a calm, professional, solutions-focused approach is essential.

· Strong organisational skills, including experience managing programs, budgets, variations, and risk.

· Ability to work independently, make considered decisions, and take ownership of projects end-to-end.

· Demonstrable leadership experience, including mentoring or managing other Project Managers or delivery teams.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00 per year
