Overview

As part of their continued investment in environmental performance and Net Zero goals, they are seeking a Sustainability Consultant to join their Technical team. The role of Sustainability Consultant is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to make an impact, developing and implementing sustainability initiatives across operations and the wider supply chain. This is a hands-on, technical role, within a food manufacturing environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities for the Sustainability Consultant
* Support the delivery of the company’s sustainability and Net Zero strategies.
* Coordinate internal sustainability programmes, tracking progress and reporting results to stakeholders.
* Collect and analyse environmental and carbon data, including scope 3 emissions.
* Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and customer sustainability requirements.
* Maintain and support environmental policies, audits, and risk assessments.
* Research and recommend innovative technologies and practices to enhance sustainability performance.
Requirements for the Sustainability Consultant
* Strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
* Skilled in data management and analysis (particularly Excel).
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Able to manage multiple projects and engage confidently across all levels.
* Flexible and willing to travel within the UK and occasionally overseas.
