Overview
As a Trainee Nursing Assistant at HC-One, you will be a role model, leading by example to embody the quality of supreme kindness in every aspect of your work in our Memory Care, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will help ensure our residents\' care planning arrangements are delivered impeccably and support residents with choice and independence, keeping their wellbeing at the forefront. This role includes upskilling and development through an outstanding program that will train Senior Care Assistants to undertake more responsibility and develop the skills needed to be a Nursing Assistant. The role will assist in tasks such as administering medicines, care of wounds, catheter care and other direct clinical tasks under the supervision of a qualified nurse.
Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver high-quality care planning for residents, promoting choice and independence.
* Support supervised nursing tasks (e.g., administering medicines, wound care, catheter care) under the guidance of a qualified nurse.
* Assist with safeguarding and report concerns as required, following appropriate training.
* Contribute to a team approach, supporting a compassionate and person-centred approach to care.
Qualifications
* Level 3 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care (or working towards).
* Minimum 2 years\' experience in Health & Social Care as a Senior Carer or a similar leadership role, especially around administering medicines and leading a shift.
* Knowledge and understanding of the person-led care planning process and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
* Ability to recognise signs of safeguarding concerns and know how to report and escalate appropriately.
All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in related areas. You should be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
Salary and Location
£14.30 to £14.65 per hour. All Locations: Pencoed. Home/Department: Glanffrwd. Job Family: Care. We\'ll provide full training, so it\'s a great opportunity to learn something new.
