PSHE Teacher – Secondary School in Southampton
Start Date: After the Easter Holidays (Summer Term)
Contract: Full-Time | Summer Term (with potential extension)
Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Pay: £165 – £245 per day (dependent on experience)
Position Overview
A values-led and high‑expectation secondary school in the Southampton area is seeking a committed PSHE Teacher to join them for the Summer Term. This full‑time role begins immediately after the Easter break and offers the opportunity to teach PSHE across Key Stages 3 and 4 within a school known for strong routines, a calm environment and consistently positive behaviour.
You will deliver well‑structured lessons that support students’ personal development, wellbeing, and understanding of key life skills. The school places real emphasis on character, respect, and building secure learning habits, making PSHE a key part of their wider curriculum strategy.

What You Will Be Doing
Teaching PSHE across KS3 and KS4
Delivering lessons focused on wellbeing, citizenship, relationships, personal safety and life skills
Creating an environment that promotes respect, thoughtful discussion and positive development
Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the school’s values and curriculum vision
Assessing and tracking students’ progress and contributing to whole‑school personal development priorities
Working collaboratively with pastoral leaders and teaching staff to reinforce consistent routines and expectations
What We’re Looking For
A qualified teacher with UK QTS, or someone working toward QTS
Experience teaching PSHE or related subjects (e.g., citizenship, RSHE, humanities)
Strong communication, empathy and confidence leading sensitive or complex discussions
Positive behaviour management aligned with a school known for strong routines
A genuine passion for supporting young people in their personal growth
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
