Bouygues UK has an exciting opportunity available for a Graduate Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Southwest & Wales region.
We are working on a variety of projects across the region and have a strong pipeline ahead of us. We are looking for graduates who are flexible to travel and happy to be based at one of our projects within the Southwest and Wales region. Projects range from Exeter to Carmarthen, with offices in Bristol and Cardiff.
The Role
* The Graduate Assistant Quantity Surveyor will learn and develop the skills necessary to support commercial activity in the region.
* You will be enrolled onto our graduate programme which is a two-year structured training scheme. The programme is designed to enhance and develop soft skills and technical capability through a blend of classroom-based learning and on-the-job training.
* We will provide you with the support and mechanisms to build a successful career, including support with chartership.
Key Responsibilities
* Maximise the commercial results of the project.
* Procurement and financial control of sub‑contractors.
* Delivery of monthly financial reports to forecast net margin and activity utilising company tools, procedures & rules.
* Liaison and collaboration with the construction and design teams in all aspects of contractual activities.
What You’ll Need
* A 2:1 or above in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or similar).
* A genuine interest in the construction industry.
