We are looking for a Senior Test and Assembly Technician to join our Christchurch site!
You will be working under minimal supervision, following process instructions, drawings, test and repair schedules, to assemble, test, and repair products and customer returns, in accordance with the quality management system, and to meet company and customer requirements.

Your Responsibilities
1. Assemble components to a final configured product using process and drawing instructions, blueprints, specialized tooling, fixtures, measuring equipment, and hand tools.
2. Repair and test products following test procedures, drawings, tooling, fixtures, measuring equipment, and hand tools, incorporating ECN as required.
3. Evaluate customer returns to determine necessary repair actions to satisfy customer requirements and product standards.
4. Fault find products to sub-assembly or component level using drawings and basic test equipment, including circuit diagrams.
5. Conduct stage inspections to verify the accuracy of work.
6. Provide training and support to colleagues as needed.
7. Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
8. Perform work according to current standards and QMS.
9. Maintain 6S in the work area.
10. Perform routine minor maintenance.
11. Identify and suggest continuous improvement opportunities.
12. Support problem-solving activities in small groups.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified to ONC Electronic Engineering (or equivalent), or
* Time-served Engineering Apprenticeship, or
* At least 2 years relevant experience in electronic/pneumatics engineering and electrical/mechanical assembly techniques.
* Knowledge of MRP systems, Production Control systems, and Advanced Manufacturing Techniques.
* Computer literacy with familiarity in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
