About the apprenticeship
Duties
•Assist engineering technicians with routine maintenance and repairs
•Support breakdown response and fault-finding on machinery and equipment
•Help with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
•Learn to read basic engineering drawings and manuals
•Assist with installation, testing and commissioning of equipment
•Maintain tools, spares and a safe working environment
•Follow all health, safety and site procedures at all times
Requirements
Qualifications
•Engineering-related qualifications (e.g. GCSEs/A-levels/BTEC in Maths, Science, Engineering)
•Previous hands-on or workshop experience
•Mechanical, electrical, or technical hobbies
•Strong interest in engineering, mechanics, or electrical systems
•Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
•Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail
•Ability to follow instructions and work safely
•Basic IT, literacy and numeracy skills
•Commitment to completing the Apprenticeship programme
