The role focuses on building accessible and maintainable user interfaces for content-led digital services.You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary Agile delivery team, collaborating closely with content designers, content writers, back-end developers, service owners, and delivery leads to deliver high quality outcomes for the end users.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain front-end components for a public-sector digital serviceDevelop responsive, accessible user interfaces aligned to GDSTranslate designs and prototypes into high-quality, performant front-end codeWork closely with content designers and writers to support content-led journeysCollaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and servicesEnsure solutions align with GDS and GOV.UK standards, supporting iterative deliveryContribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement activitiesEssential Skills & ExperienceStrong front-end development experience using modern frameworks/libraries, particularly ReactProven experience designing and building front-end user interfaces for digital servicesStrong experience using Figma to interpret designs, prototypes, and design systemsSolid understanding of accessibility, usability, and inclusive design principlesExperience working within Agile, multidisciplinary delivery teamsStrong JavaScript/React skills, with an emphasis on maintainable, reusable codeReasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
