Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
3. Lead the development of sourcing strategies and commercial approaches aligned with wider reform objectives
4. Deliver high-level input into a major assessment report to support senior decision-making
5. Translate strategic direction into commercial models, transition plans, and operational readiness
6. Provide expert procurement and commercial advice to senior leaders and cross-functional teams
7. Collaborate with regional partners and external stakeholders to align on policy, best practice, and potential delivery models
8. Ensure alignment with relevant procurement legislation and internal governance procedures
The Successful Applicant
A successful Interim Strategic Procurement Manager should have:
9. Senior-level experience in complex public sector procurement, ideally across transformation, infrastructure, or regulated services
10. Strong understanding of early-stage strategic scoping, options analysis, and commercial model design
11. Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and build consensus across organisational boundaries
12. Expertise in category management, contract strategy, and value-driven sourcing methodologies
13. Deep knowledge of Public Contract Regulations (PCR), the Procurement Act 2023, and commercial governance
14. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in politically sensitive or evolving environments
