We’re looking for an experienced Head of Risk Management to lead and shape a robust, independent risk function within a global markets environment.
This is a senior leadership role with oversight across all key risk types, offering the opportunity to influence strategy, governance, and regulatory engagement at the highest level.
🔍 The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
* Leading the firm’s second line of defence risk function
* Overseeing all major risk types including credit, market, liquidity, concentration, and operational risk
* Ensuring a strong and effective risk governance framework
* Providing strategic risk insight and challenge to senior leadership and the Board
* Delivering high-quality risk reporting, stress testing, and scenario analysis
* Supporting new product initiatives with risk assessment and recommendations
* Managing and developing a high-performing risk team
📊 Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and enhance risk policies, frameworks, and controls
* Monitor risk exposures and ensure alignment with risk appetite
* Lead risk committees and contribute to key governance forums
* Oversee regulatory processes including ICARA and stress testing
* Ensure data quality and integrity for risk measurement and reporting
* Respond to emerging risk events and provide timely mitigation strategies
✅ What We’re Looking For
* Strong leadership experience in risk management within financial services
* Deep knowledge of risk frameworks, governance, and regulatory environments
* Proven experience across multiple risk types
* Background in commodities or energy markets is highly desirable
* Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
* CFA / FRM qualification (preferred)
