St James is a dynamic school, encompassing 32 acres on a stunning and historic site, leading the way in the education of the whole person with a philosophically-based ethos, valuing stillness and meditation balanced with a strong academic focus. We offer outstanding CPD provision as well as making available Mindfulness and Yoga sessions to all staff. Our new Sports Hall which includes a gym suite is available for all our staff. English is central to our academic focus, ethos and development within the school, as one of our core subjects. We seek an inspirational English teacher who would be expected to teach Years 7 – 11 with the possibility to teach KS5. The role would be suitable for any enthusiastic teacher who has a deep respect of their subject and values academic endeavour.
This role is most likely to become a permanent role for the right candidate.
The ability to teach an additional subject may be an advantage.

Extra-curricular activities are important at St James and a willingness to contribute within either the English department or beyond is essential to the post.
