Responsibilities
* UK experience within a public, private or third-sector UK-based client.
Qualifications
* Degree in a related technical field (environmental / civil engineering) or equivalent experience and be a member of an appropriate institution.
* Chartered Member or working towards chartered membership of a professional institution such as CIWEM, ICE, APM, etc.
* Technical experience in UK flood risk legislation and planning standards.
* Experience in developing business cases for flood risk management schemes with the aim to secure Flood Defence Grant in Aid (FDGiA) funding.
* Knowledge of hydraulic modelling (Flood Modeller TUFLOW) or drainage modelling software (MicroDrainage or Causeway Flow) and technically competent in fundamental hydraulic design principles.
* Experience or an understanding of project management or principles to achieve project delivery.
* Experience working with public sectors such as LLFA's and/or EA.
* Experience of working on planning applications and awareness of LLFA duties.
* Experience working in client facing environments and ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Desirable: A full UK driving licence.
* Desirable: Chartered Membership of relevant professional organisation.
