We are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join our EU Shared Service Centre that is based at our new 237,000-square-foot facility in Newport. Our new facility provides additional production and customer collaboration spaces, including 25,000 square feet of R&D clean rooms, 35,000 square feet of state-of-the-art manufacturing space and tool demo areas, all designed to support development of semiconductor process technologies across advanced packaging, power devices, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), radio frequency (RF) and photonics sector technology.
The successful candidate will be responsible for various financial processes supporting the daily operation of KLA’s Shared Service Centre. You will need to demonstrate an ability to work to a high level of accuracy, are able to build relationships, communicate effectively & work to tight deadlines. Experience of Travel & Expenses (T&E) submission auditing would be advantageous but is not essential. Flexibility within the role is a must as the SSC is made up of multiple teams that interact & support each other daily. This will be a Hybrid position, based 3 days a week in our Newport office following an onsite training period.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Travel & Expenses submissions as well as answering related queries
2. Support month-end & year-end closing processes
3. Assist in the preparation of financial reports & statements
4. Maintain accurate & organized filing systems for financial documents
5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
6. Respond to queries from internal & external stakeholders regarding financial transactions
7. Assist in the implementation & improvement of financial processes & procedures
8. Creation of payment runs in line with monthly schedule
9. Reconcile bank statements & ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly
10. Maintenance of employee data inline with data protection procedures

11. Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a shared service centre environment
12. Knowledge of accounting principles & practices
13. Professional accounting qualifications (e.g. AAT) or working towards Financial accreditation
Desirable skills:
14. Technical experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
15. Use of Chrome River travel expenses portal (or similar – Concur, SAP)
16. Proficient in accounting software & Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
17. Strong attention to detail & accuracy in data entry & financial reporting
18. Fluid communication & interpersonal skills
19. Excellent organizational & time management skills
20. Ability to work independently & as part of a team using your own initiative to solve problems &/or support others with theirs
21. Familiarity with financial regulations & compliance requirements
22. Proactive in their approach to work
