Service Vehicle Technician/Car Mechanic
1. £35,000 - £45,000 Basic + Monthly Bonuses (Up to £500)

3. 08:30am - 18:00pm Monday - Friday | No Weekends
An exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a well-established and highly respected Independent Vehicle Specialist based in Crawley Down, West Sussex.
Our client a family run car specialist on the lookout for a technically-minded, mechanically-strong technician who thrives on more in-depth jobs — from gearbox removals and engine work, to cambelt and timing changes, diagnostics, and manifold replacements. This role is perfect for someone who’s confident with heavier mechanical tasks and enjoys getting into the detail.
What We’re Looking For:
4. A solid background in mechanical work (gearboxes, engine work, cambelts, timing chains, manifolds)
5. Diagnostic skills a bonus, but strong mechanical skills are key
6. Someone who can support and guide less experienced techs – mentoring experience is ideal
7. Experience with premium German vehicles is advantageous, but brand knowledge is flexible
8. Team player with a can-do attitude – everyone here pitches in
What’s On Offer:
9. Basic Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE (with flexibility for the right candidate)
10. Monthly Bonus Schemes (up to £500 extra per month depending on performance, customer feedback, parts, servicing targets, and team goals)
11. Monday to Friday only – 08:30 to 18:00 (with a 1-hour lunch & two 15-minute breaks)
12. No Saturdays – Ever
13. 22 days holiday + Bank Holidays, increasing by 1 day each year after 5 years up to 30 days total

Our client is losing a long-term Senior Technician who’s moving abroad, so they're looking for someone to come in and be a key part of the team — someone others can learn from and rely on.
Ideal Candidate: You’ll ideally live in or around the Crawley Down area or be able to commute reliably. You should be qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 in light vehicle maintanance and repair or equivalent, and have demonstrable experience working in a busy garage environment.
