The Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust (DEMAT)
is seeking to appoint a full-time
Finance Assistant
35 hours per week
Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
Salary: £30,500 - £32,600
Location: The post is based at DEMAT’s offices in Ely and involves travel to DEMAT schools and other Trust locations as required.
Hybrid working is available.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance Team within DEMAT. It is an opportunity for a candidate to gain experience within a large muti-academy trust, develop their career and make a real difference to the schools.
The Finance Assistant will act as a first point of contact for schools and provide key management information, support and guidance on a range of finance matters to Head Teachers and senior leaders within DEMAT. As well as strong finance skills the role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines.
The successful applicant will:
· Be experienced working in a similar finance role
· Have generalist finance experience in all key areas – financial planning, monthly reporting and analysis, and balance sheet reviews
· Have experience of working in a team
· Be able to develop good working relationships.
· Be resilient and be able to prioritise and set clear priorities in managing their workload.
· Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well at all levels.
