What You’ll Do
As an industry experienced Project Manager, you will manage and coordinate all project construction activities, ensuring delivery of all project objectives in line with safety, quality, programme, and cost requirements. You will lead your team to success with exceptional leadership and a strong focus on collaboration, performance, and accountability.
1. Lead the project team ensuring that the highest possible health and safety standards are maintained at all times and that the appropriate safety culture is developed on site with site team and sub-contractors.
2. Ensure safety is the number one priority of all members of the team.
3. Manage the site team – supervise and develop site staff and ensure competency of individuals to carry out delegated duties.
4. Assemble and structure a competent team and monitor development and performance of individual team members.
5. Manage and co-ordinate all site activities.
6. Establish and chair daily co-ordination meetings with the sub contractors on site, recording the minutes on the daily diary.
7. Communicate daily co-ordination minutes to supply chain management and supervisors and work force daily.
8. Contribute to and manage the project to achieve the “Master Programme”.
9. Develop and manage the “Target Programme” and align the design and procurement to ensure that the dates, periods, milestones and end date is achieved.
10. Ensure short range programmes for the works are produced, monitored daily updated weekly and filed accordingly.
11. Provide all necessary progress reports for internal and external reporting functions.
12. Control all aspects of interface with general public and external authorities.
What You’ll Bring
13. Appropriate construction qualification e g HNC / BSc / BEng
14. Membership or working towards membership of appropriate industry organisation e.g. MCIOB
15. Have contract management experience and be capable of managing packages of work.
16. Will have attended relevant health & safety courses to fulfil role.
17. Site management experience
18. Knowledge of construction contracts and procedures
19. Competent in relevant IT skills
20. Technically qualified in chosen discipline
21. Ability to interpret engineering specifications and drawings
22. A qualified First Aider, or willing to train as one
23. Possess relevant CSCS card.
24. Good level of communication skills.
25. SMSTS Qualification.
