Overview
The CNS will act as a specialist resource and keyworker, providing expert nursing knowledge, information, advice and support to patients and their families throughout their diagnosis, treatment and follow up of brain and central nervous system tumours.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will have an integral role in ensuring the continuity and further development of a quality driven service to all patients admitted for assessment, observation, surgical and oncological management of brain and spine tumours. They will provide continuity of care via nurse led clinics and specialist follow up, and in time become an invaluable educational resource in their specialist field.
Responsibilities
* We are seeking a band 6 charge nurse to join our team on Sahara B. Sahara B is a 30 bedded regional neurosurgical ward for Essex, providing care to patients with brain & spinal conditions.
* You will work and be a part of our large multi disciplinary team.
* You will help support the nursing team in the delivery of high quality nursing care; if you are reliable, organised and a good team player then we want to hear from you.

Qualifications
* Band 6 charge nurse to join the team on Sahara B.
* Experience in neurosurgical care and working within a multi-disciplinary team is desirable.
