Operating across the north of England, Henshaws offers specialized services including a further education college in Harrogate, an Arts and Crafts Centre in Knaresborough, Housing and Supported Living in Yorkshire, and community-based independence training and social groups in Greater Manchester.
We are looking for a Housekeeping Manager to lead and develop our housekeeping service at Henshaws College with regular travel to our Arts and Crafts Centre in Knaresborough. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams, maintaining high standards and ensuring clean, safe and welcoming environments for students, artmakers and colleagues. You will oversee daily operations, monitor quality, support staff and help ensure our facilities meet required standards.
Your work will contribute directly to Henshaws mission by helping create spaces where young people and adults can learn, grow and thrive.
Salary: £15.37 per hour or £30,371.12 per annum
Hours per week: 38
Weeks per year: 52
Annual leave: 5 weeks plus 10 days bank holiday
Contract: Permanent
Location: Henshaws College with regular travel to the Arts and Crafts Centre in Knaresborough

Requirements
We welcome applications from people who can show experience of leading housekeeping or cleaning teams. You will need to understand hygiene, infection control, COSHH requirements and general health and safety. Experience of working to frameworks such as CQC or National Cleaning Standards is also essential.
You should have good communication skills and be confident managing standards, performance and workloads. A Level 5 management qualification is ideal but not essential if you are willing to work towards this. IT skills and experience with budgets are helpful.
This role requires flexibility, regular travel between sites and an enhanced DBS check with the relevant barring lists.
