We are now recruiting for Class 1 Drivers to join our team at Great Bear in Desborough on a full time and permanent basis.
Shifts available:
~ Monday-Friday nights 19:00pm-23:00pm starts.
89 per hour - £16.89 per hour (Depending on Shift Pattern and start times).
Report to the Transport Coordinator at the start of shift
Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department
Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
Responsible for unit and trailer, including temperature checks
Make deliveries to customers' premises, acting in a professional manner at all times
Immediately report any problems regarding delivery arrival times, delays or discrepancies with loads
Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery
Ensure regular communication with the Transport Office / Customer Services
Observe and adhere to site procedures at each delivery point
Two Years Class 1 experience.
Possession of LGV Class C+E Licence, CPC and valid Tacho card.
Ability to work without direct supervision
Adaptable and methodical approach to work/ training
Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers' hours
