Senior Electrical Technician (Day Shift) Location: North Yorkshire (onsite) Salary: Competitive, based on experience Contract: Permanent, Full-time Hours: Mon-Thu 08:30-16:30, Fri 08:30-16:00 (early finish) Due to the site location, a full UK driving licence and your own transport are required. About the role Manpower Engineering is recruiting on behalf of a global technology leader. You'll play a hands-on part building and testing advanced systems used in some of the world's toughest environments. If you enjoy turning schematics into robust, test-passed assemblies - and you take pride in neat wiring, clean documentation and first-time-right quality - this is for you. What you'll be doing Assemble electronic/electrical sub-assemblies and complete builds from schematics, drawings and work orders in an ISO9001 environment. Wire and solder harnesses and cable assemblies; build control panels/cabinets; work on PCBs (SMT/through-hole), transformer assemblies, consoles and connectors. Carry out heavy-duty cable wiring, deck cable assembly and control system outfitting. Diagnose, fault-find and repair to PCB component level; run troubleshooting and functional tests. Operate computer-controlled equipment as required. Hit build times/efficiency targets for project integration and tooling/spares work orders. What you'll bring (essential) Proven panel wiring/looming (LV AC/DC) and confidence working from electrical schematics. Soldering skills (through-hole and ideally SMT) with PCB rework and component-level fault-finding. Exposure to control/data systems and awareness of high-voltage installations. Strong focus on quality, schedule and safety with accurate documentation in ISO9001 processes. Clear communicator, organised team player; calm under pressure and detail-driven. Nice to have (desirable) ONC (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. 18th Edition (IET/BS 7671). Fibre-optic handling/termination experience. Background in shop-floor build/test, production processes and equipment. Safety & compliance (QHSE) Act in line with site QHSE requirements and personal accountability.
