Job Overview
An accurate, confidential and supportive administration service for patients, clinical teams, carers and internal and external agencies (e.g. Local Authority, Third Sector, CAIS) in order to: Provide a safe and efficient patient pathway and provide information and appropriate support to families and carers.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced secretary for the Acute Paediatrics Department. This is a part time, permanent post, which covers a range of administrative tasks to maintain a prompt and accurate secretarial service. You must have previous secretarial experience, excellent keyboard and audio typing skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook. The ability to prioritise your work and be highly organised is paramount to this post, as is excellent interpersonal communication skills, which includes a friendly telephone manner, whilst also providing a professional, sensitive manner and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Person specification – Qualifications
Essential criteria:
* RSA level 2 or equivalent demonstrable experience
* NVQ Business Administration L3 or equivalent experience
* IT related qualification CLAIT plus /ECDL or equivalent
Desirable criteria:
* AMSPAR – City & Guilds L3
* NVQ Customer Service L3
Skills
Essential criteria:
* Knowledge of a range of administrative processes
* Experience of working in a busy office environment
