RM Recruit are proud to be working with a Coventry based organisation seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Co-ordinator to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. Our client can offer flexible, hybrid working with the office presence set at two times per week and the rest working from home. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a varied role, with responsibility for supporting both day-to-day finance operations and grant claim administration.

Key Responsibilities:

* Act as the first point of contact for finance-related grant claim queries

* Prepare, submit, and monitor grant claims in line with funding guidelines and deadlines, ensuring all claims are supported with accurate, complete, and compliant documentation.

* Reconcile funds received against submitted claims, promptly addressing and reporting any discrepancies.

* Maintain accurate financial records, audit trails, and supporting documentation to meet internal control requirements and external audit standards.

* Ensure reported costs comply with funding agreements and internal policies.

* Collaborate with the finance team to collect data and ensure accurate coding of costs for project-based work, particularly in relation to grant funding streams.

* Manage the finance/accounts inbox alongside the Assistant Accountant, responding promptly to financial queries and providing required supporting documentation.

* Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

* Support wider finance activities, including purchase order and invoice processing, account reconciliations, budget monitoring, project costings, and financial reporting

Person Specification

* Previous experience in a finance, grants, or accounts support role

* Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail

* Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with both internal stakeholders and external bodies

* Skilled in financial administration, reporting, and reconciliations

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and familiar with finance systems

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy and professionalism
