Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established concrete manufacturing and precast casting company based in Alfreton. We are looking for an experienced Semi Dry Concrete Caster to join their production team. This is a physically demanding, full-time role with excellent progression opportunities and long-term job security.
Job Description - Semi Dry Concrete Caster:
1. Using a semi dry concrete mix to manually create precast concrete products
2. Stripping concrete castings from moulds and preparing moulds for reuse
3. Carrying out quality inspections to ensure all products are up to specification, with no cracks, chips, or defects
4. Operating within a fast-paced concrete manufacturing environment to meet daily production targets
5. Following all site health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
6. Working as part of a team in the concrete casting and manufacturing process
Candidate Requirements:
7. Previous experience in concrete casting, precast manufacturing, concrete production, or a similar heavy industry
8. Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour, repetitive tasks, and heavy lifting
9. Reliable, hardworking, and motivated to develop a long-term career in concrete manufacturing
10. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality concrete products
Pay and Benefits:
11. £12.90 per hour starting pay (experience-dependent)
12. Opportunity to progress to piece work rates, earning £17 per hour and beyond once trained
13. Temporary to permanent opportunity with a respected local concrete manufacturer
14. Overtime opportunities available
Working Hours:
15. Monday to Friday
16. 6:00am - 2:30pm
17. Overtime may be available
