Your newpany Hays are working with a local manufacturing business in the Biggleswade area who require an experienced Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role Part of the finance team, this position is a key role which contributes to the successful profitability of the business. Part of the team, the role will involve developing positive customer relationships with new and existing customers and maintaining effective credit processes.
Key Duties:
1. Opening and assessing new customer accounts.
2. Manages a wide and diverse ledger with effective cash collection.
3. Responsible for the day to day management of customer accounts ensuringpleteness, accuracy and validity.
4. Prepares internal reports to include but not limited to debtor days, queries and cash management.
5. Review of bad debt provision and reduction of overdue debtor balances.
6. Intuitively recognises when to support the Credit Manager in matters relating to their role.
7. Any other duty as required by management with the post.
What you'll need to succeed The successful candidate for the role will be available for an immediate start, will have a minimum of 2 years in a credit role, excellent written and verbalmunication skills, good IT literacy including a high level of Excel including Pivot tables and VLookups, effective at building and maintaining supplier relationships in a pressurised environment.
