Overview

Housing Program Manager Needed for Facility Providing Shelter, Transitional Housing and Support Services

Job ID: 24361
Pay Rate: $81,477-$105,920
Location: Onsite in the Greater Seattle Area, Must be Within an Hour’s Travel to Facility
Employment Type: Direct Hire

A 24-hour facility providing emergency shelter, transitional housing, and support services for women, children, and youth impacted by Domestic Violence (DV), substance abuse, inadequate healthcare, family separation, child abuse, neglect, and poverty. Services include crisis intervention, case management, advocacy-based counseling, legal advocacy, and stabilization resources.

Programs provided include stability, skill-building, and advocacy, empowering individuals to move forward.

The Housing Program Manager oversees the management of daily operations including supervision of Housing Case Managers and providing direct service to clients. The Housing Program Manager also responds to crisis calls and providing guidance and supervision to staff and emergency personnel.

What Your Day Looks Like:

* Develop and administer daily operations of crisis shelters and longer-term transitional programs.
* Oversee screening, intake, information and referral and support services provided to residents in the program.
* Attend community case conference meetings to screen for transitional housing residents.
* Hire, supervise, evaluate, and train regular Housing Case Manager staff.
* Schedule and assure adequate coverage for shelter and transitional programs.
* Provide backup assistance with crisis intervention, advocacy based counseling, information and referral, and other support services to shelter and transitional programs as necessary.
* Authorize the use of client assistance funds for legal, move-in cost and other expenses to eliminate resident barriers.
* Regularly review Shelter and Transitional resident records, daily logs, weekly goal plans and progress reports to help ensure program records and resident documentation are maintained adequately and consistently as required.
* Ensure documentation is entered into databases in a timely manner
* Assist with coordinating weekly case conferencing meetings.
* Participate in budget meetings and strategic planning meetings.
* Participate in program, department, and agency meetings and relevant trainings as required.
* Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

* Five years of experience providing DV support and legal advocacy services, including at least three years of staff supervision.
* Two years of DV advocacy experience in court settings.
* Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
* Experience with crisis intervention, case management, and conflict resolution.
* Knowledge of emergency shelter or transitional housing programs, particularly in DV contexts.
* Completion of at least 50 hours of DV advocacy training (per WAC 388-61A-0350).
* Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within King County.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients and partners.
* Capacity to foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
* Foster discussions and learning to understand and dismantle institutional racism.
* Incorporate anti-racism principles and cultural competency in hiring and evaluations.
* Support skill development for supervisors and staff.
* Strong oral and written communication skills, Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred).
* Organizational skills, including maintaining accurate and confidential records.
* Ability to handle emergencies and exercise independent judgment.
* Familiarity with DV principles, homelessness issues, child abuse, and sexual assault.
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft 365.
* Ability to work flexible schedules and be on-call one week per month.
