Senior Angular Developer - Shipping, Tracking, Trading sought by leading financial services organisation based in West London.
Outside IR35 - 3 days a week on site
Summary
This role is suitable for a full-stack developer with a broad, modern skill set and a proven track record, ideally with knowledge and experience in the commodity or financial trading sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Full stack development with approximately 8-10 years of experience, working within an agile team to deliver robust enterprise solutions following industry standards.
2. Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications adhering to coding standards and quality targets.
3. Ensure quality through code reviews and comprehensive unit testing.
4. Collaborate with the scrum team, other project teams, line manager, and development lead to ensure accurate and complete delivery.
5. Contribute to the development and implementation of software development best practices.
6. Write clean, efficient code in relevant programming languages to implement features and functionality.
Key Competencies & Skills:
* Knowledge of oil, wet bulk, energy trading, and risk management business.
* Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools.
* Effective communication skills for stakeholder collaboration and technical explanation.
* Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and develop creative solutions.
* Experience with technical stack including Angular 13+ (with DevExtreme UI library desirable), Playwright, ReadyAPI, Specflow, Jira, Github, Confluence.
Nice to Have:
* C# and .NET 6+
* REST APIs and Microservice architecture
* SQL Server, NHibernate, or Entity Framework
Demonstrated Expertise in:
* Building modern web applications.
* Applying modern UI design principles.
* Designing and developing RESTful APIs.
* SQL proficiency.
* Test case development and execution.
Education & Experience Requirements:
* 8-10 years of experience in application design and development, both individually and within teams.
* Familiarity with energy or financial trading environments.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proven problem-solving ability and innovative solutions development.
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
* Degree or equivalent education.
