Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments, ensuring safety, aesthetics, and functionality of various landscaped areas. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a clean, pleasant environment, applying practical skills in general grounds maintenance, gardening, and caravan siting. The position is full time permanent and suitable for individuals passionate about outdoor maintenance and environmental care.
Duties
* Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, pesticide spraying, paving etc., to uphold high standards of appearance and health of green spaces.
* Operate mechanical equipment such as utility vehicles, tractors, ride on mowers, strimmers etc safely and efficiently.
* Use hand tools for planting, pruning, digging, and other gardening activities.
* Assist with caravan siting where training will be given.
* Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure all equipment is properly stored after use.
* Monitor environmental conditions and adjust maintenance routines accordingly.
Skills
* Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, paving etc
* Mechanical knowledge related to operating machinery such as ride on mowers, tractors and tele handlers would be advantageous.
* Proficiency with hand tools used in gardening and construction tasks.
* Strong understanding of general maintenance practices for outdoor environments.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting, digging, and operating equipment over extended periods.
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met consistently. Pay: £12.77-£14.77 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
