The Role: Head of Promotions
The Head of Promotions will oversee a diverse portfolio of ticketed events, leading senior, junior, and regional promoters to drive revenue, audience growth, and brand positioning. This is a strategic, commercially focused leadership role requiring expertise in event curation, ticketing strategy, pricing, sponsorship, and multi-market expansion.
Experience:
* 10+ years in live event promotions, talent booking, or ticketing strategy, with a proven track record of scaling events profitably.
* Extensive experience managing multi-city or international event portfolios.
* Proven ability in data-driven ticketing and pricing strategies.
* Strong industry relationships with talent agencies, ticketing platforms, and brand partners.
* Leadership experience managing high-performing teams across multiple locations.
* Exceptional financial skills, including P&L management, sales forecasting, and revenue optimization.
* Experience with major promoters like Live Nation, AEG, or leading independents.
* Understanding of sponsorship integration and brand activations.
* Experience expanding event brands into new markets or launching new festivals.
* Knowledge of global music trends and emerging audience behaviors.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensures a balanced event calendar across seasons, locations, and demographics.
Ticketing & Pricing Strategy
* Develops dynamic pricing models, including tiered tickets, VIPs, and loyalty programs.
* Owns P&L responsibility, managing budgets and revenue targets.
* Works with ticketing partners to optimize sales channels and customer experience.
* Uses sales data and trends for data-backed pricing adjustments.
Commercial & Sponsorship Integration
* Works with brand partnership teams for sponsorship activations.
* Secures commercial partnerships to add value beyond ticket sales.
* Develops marketing strategies aligned with ticketing and sponsorship goals.
Market Positioning & Industry Leadership
* Acts as an industry thought leader at conferences and panels.
* Maintains understanding of consumer behavior, music trends, and competition.
* Balances vision with day-to-day execution.
* Uses insights and analytics for decision-making.
* Secures top-tier talent, venues, and partnerships through negotiation.
* Plans for market expansion and scaling event brands.
* Anticipates and manages risks and challenges.
* Collaborates across departments for successful events.
