Job Description

We are seeking a passionate individual who wants to help improve our operations to deliver even more for the environment. As a Business Analyst, you will understand and analyse user and business needs, helping to ensure outcomes are aligned with service vision and business strategy. You will contribute to the link between current and future business models and support the delivery of the business architecture. You will challenge constructively and act as a critical friend to achieve fit-for-purpose solutions. Additionally, you will collaborate and lead effective communication with all stakeholders to support design, build, and delivery, working alongside project teams, technical teams, and stakeholders at all levels.
The team
The Business Analysis Service primarily works within the Chief Regulator Group, supporting a wide range of critical change and improvement initiatives. Our mission is to empower colleagues through insightful analysis to maximise opportunities and resources, enabling informed decisions that contribute to creating better places for people and wildlife and supporting sustainable development.

Experience/skills Required
We’re looking for candidates passionate about the environment and responding to the climate emergency. You should be able to demonstrate:
* Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse complex data and processes to identify issues and opportunities for informed decision-making.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for conveying findings and recommendations effectively.
* Stakeholder Management: Experience managing relationships with projects, team members, and senior management to ensure successful collaboration.
* Project Delivery: Experience delivering projects within structured frameworks, managing and completing them successfully and on time.
* Requirements Gathering: Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements to ensure clear project objectives.
Desirable Experience/Qualifications:
* Experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
* Relevant business analysis qualifications.
* Proficiency in analysis tools and methodologies.
* Experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
* Familiarity with the Project Delivery Capability Framework.

There are 3 roles available: 2 permanent and 1 fixed-term (until 30th April 2027). We support flexible working arrangements and provide necessary training. The role is based in an EA Office with a flexible/hybrid working location. Some travel and overnight stays may be required.
