About the Role
We are looking for a forward-thinking and analytical Finance Manager for our Cash team. In this role, you will be key in managing the Group’s cash flow, responsible for managing sophisticated forecasting and working capital dynamics, whilst providing senior management the visibility needed to optimise the Group’s capital structure.
Responsibilities
Cash Budgeting and Forecasting
* Lead the annual cash budgeting process for the Group, ensuring financial plans are robust, challenging, and strategically aligned with Morrisons' broader commercial objectives.
* Lead the Group’s cash flow forecasting process, managing the 13-week rolling cash forecast and long term liquidity plans, identifying potential funding gaps or surplus cash positions to inform business decisions.
Working Capital Optimisation
* Oversee the analysis of the Group’s working capital cycle to help the business proactively manage its cash position
Business Partnering
* Business partner our Treasury, Tax, and functional finance teams, ensuring that major cash outlays (Capex, Interest, Tax) are effectively managed
* Proactively challenge commercial and operational assumptions to ensure decisions align with the Group’s objectives
Continuous Improvement
* Lead the integration of cash flow drivers into the wider FP&A team ensuring the business has a joined up budgeting and forecasting process across the P&L and cash flow
About you
*
o A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with strong analytical and commercial skills.
o Comfortable working with large data sets and financial systems (experience with Excel and SAP or similar systems is a plus).
o Curious and proactive, with the confidence to question and explore the story behind the numbers.
o Able to work independently while building strong relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
o Detail-oriented and organised, with a focus on delivering accurate and actionable insight.
