Salary: £47,181 Location: Hybrid Contract: Permanent Start Date: ASAP An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join a busy and supportive legal team within a local authority environment. This role offers the chance to work on a varied and complex caseload, providing legal advice, advocacy and litigation support across a broad range of adult social care matters. Key Responsibilities Provide expert legal advice on adult social care law, including: Care Act 2014 Mental Capacity Act 2005 (including Court of Protection, DoLS and Re X applications) Mental Health Act 1983 Manage a caseload of complex matters, including judicial review and tribunal proceedings Conduct advocacy and represent the authority in courts and tribunals Draft legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, reports and orders Advise officers, members and stakeholders on legal risk and decision-making Support service development and continuous improvement initiatives This role involves full litigation responsibility and regular engagement with key stakeholders across the organisation. About You Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or FCILEX Minimum 3 years PQE in adult social care law Strong technical expertise across relevant legislation and case law Experience managing complex cases and conducting litigation Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to assess and mitigate legal risk effectively Whats on Offer Competitive salary of £47,181 Hybrid working Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact cases
