This is a unique opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of children and young people with complex and severe learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, and communication and interaction needs. Essential Requirements
* Proven SEN Experience and a full, clean Driving Licence
Responsibilities
* Assisting teachers in the delivery of tailored educational programmes.
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to students, adapting to individual needs.
* Helping to create a stimulating and safe learning environment.
* Supporting students with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
* Assisting with personal care and promoting independence where appropriate.
* Accompanying students on educational visits and activities, which may involve driving school vehicles.
* Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team of teachers, therapists and care staff.
What We’re Looking For
* Essential: Demonstrable experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with complex needs and/or autism.
* Essential: A full, clean driving licence and willingness to drive school vehicles.
* A genuine passion for working with young people with SEN and a commitment to their progress and well-being.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues and families.
* Patience, resilience, and a positive, can-do attitude.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team.
* Good literacy and numeracy skills.
