Tameside Public Health team has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Public Health Programme Manager. About You We are looking for a methodical, organised, and self-motivated individual to join our team. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excel at building relationships, and influencing without direct authority. You will have a proven track record of collaborative working with a range of colleagues and partner organisations to reduce health inequalities and improve the health and wellbeing of the local population. You will have the ability to communicate at all levels, work on complex projects, and apply your knowledge and experience to contribute towards achieving the aims and objectives of the organisation. This post will have a specific focus on the Health Improvement agenda. You will be responsible for driving forward the systemic approach to reducing physical inactivity. The area of responsibility may vary over time depending on local priorities and the needs of the Public Health directorate. You will lead the development, commissioning and procurement, financial budget management and delivery of a range of public health strategies, interventions and services, for the population in Tameside, particularly in relation to key strategies such as the Health & Wellbeing Strategy, Healthy Places Strategic Framework, Tameside Moving Strategy, Let s Ride Tameside Strategy, and Tameside Walking and Wheeling Strategy. You will be: Educated at degree level 6 or above. You will have experience of: Public Health programme management, with strong leadership skills and a track record of delivering service change, and improved outcomes. Commissioning and procurement of services with experience of relevant governance processes and procedures. Budget monitoring, financial management and reporting. Report writing, creating and delivering presentations, and preparing communications for a range of requirements at different levels. Working across organisational boundaries, and working collaboratively with several parties engaged in the public health agenda.
