About The Role
We have a brand‑new opportunity for a Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team based in our Cardiff office. As a member of the largest independent consulting engineering firm of its kind, you will support and deliver electrical design services for a range of project types and sizes across multiple building sectors. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering design solutions of the highest standard for our clients while securing repeat and new business opportunities. You will support and develop a technically competent, collaborative and highly engaged team.
Responsibilities
* Day‑to‑day technical delivery of electrical design services for multidisciplinary projects.
* Lead development of initial strategic concepts, ensuring solutions meet briefs and regulatory standards.
* Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders, attending project meetings and disseminating the brief within the project team.
* Monitor fee expenditure, resources and work delivered in partnership with the team leader.
* Mentor and support junior professionals, apprentices and graduates.
About You
* Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer or in a closely related role, with a track record of complex projects.
* Experience with modern technical delivery processes and relevant software/tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux.
* Demonstrable experience working with clients/contractors/architects in a design‑oriented/consultant role.
* Self‑awareness, an open mind and a spirit of generosity.
* Experience supporting others to develop knowledge, skills and confidence.
