The Role:
* Assisting with the management of the school’s IT network and systems
* Leading on IT troubleshooting, security, and upgrades
* Supporting staff and students with IT solutions across departments
Qualifications
* IT-related degreeor equivalent vocational certification (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft Fundamentals)
* Safeguarding training(desirable, or willingness to obtain)
* Active Directory/Office 365user/group management and Azure AD integration
* Network infrastructuremaintenance (TCP/IP, DHCP, wireless systems)
* Educational environment experience(or transferable sector skills)
* Group Policyconfiguration and troubleshooting
* Helpdesk systemsfor task prioritization and resolution tracking
* Backup solutions(e.g., VEEAM) and disaster recovery testing
* MIS support(e.g., ISAMS, Firefly)
Key Responsibilities
* Onsite IT leadership: Primary contact for staff/student technical issues
* Infrastructure upgrades: Assist with WIFI rollouts and hardware refresh cycles
* Apprentice supervision: Delegate tasks and provide skills mentoring
* Asset management: Maintain inventory and WEEE-compliant disposals
* KCSIE compliance: Ensure filtering/monitoring systems protect students
