Night Care Assistant Crocus Fields Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: 31.5 hours per week Worker Type: Onsite Worker Salary: Starting Salary is £25.583 (Level one) rising to £26,403 per annum (pro rata for part-time) enhancements of 33% on top of the hourly rate from 11pm to 6am. About the Role Children's Night Care Assistant - Nottingham City Council are looking to appoint Children’s Residential Night Care Assistant at Crocus Fields short breaks unit for children and young people with disabilities. This is a chance to bring your dedication and compassion to a fulfilling environment that has received an OFSTED outstanding rating in October March 2025 and for the previous 10 years due to their commitment to disabled young people and their families. The position is a fixed shift pattern on a 2-week shift rotation: (Please note this an awake night role throughout this time period) Week 1 Wednesday 10pm-7am Thursday 10pm-7am Friday 10pm-7am Week 2 Monday 10pm-7am Tuesday 10pm-7am Saturday 10pm-7am Sunday 10pm- 7am About You The ideal candidate will be able to: · Give essential and personal care to children and young people with autism and learning or physical disabilities. · Able to establish positive relationships with the young people, assessing needs and risk. Working jointly in preparation, implementation, and delivery of care plans. · To ensure that the physical, emotional, religious, educational and psychological needs of children and young people are met. · To support young people during the night and support them in their bedtime routines, this includes supporting young people with their medical and all-round health needs. · To ensure a high standard of supervision and support is provided to assist children and young people with ASD and learning disabilities. · Applicants must have experience of working with disabled people. · Primary responsibility, will be to ensure the physical safety and security of the children and young people during the night hours. You will need to respond to the needs of the young people with a wide range of learning and physical disabilities and will be required to undertake domestic tasks and have general oversight of the building security. - A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
