Job Title: Property Paralegal
OverviewExperienced Property Paralegal with Two years’ experience providing high-quality legal and administrative support to fee earners across residential and commercial property matters. Skilled in managing case files from instruction to completion, liaising with clients and third parties, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and progress a varied caseload of residential and/or commercial property transactions, including freehold, leasehold, sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
* Draft, review, and prepare key documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, leases, SDLT returns, and completion statements.
* Conduct searches and review results, raising and responding to enquiries.
* Liaise professionally with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors to progress matters efficiently.
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date case files, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, legal regulations, and GDPR requirements.
* Assist with title checks, Land Registry applications, and preparation of completion packs.
* Manage deadlines, key dates, and client expectations throughout the transaction process.
* Support fee earners with administrative tasks including file opening/closing, billing, and correspondence.
* Contribute to a collaborative team environment and assist with training junior staff when required.
Key Skills & Attributes
* Strong knowledge of conveyancing processes and property law principles.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional client manner.
* Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
