Salary up to £31,000 (actual 1 week on / 3 weeks off) + £7,500 Relocation Allowance + Vehicle + Accommodation Provided

Shaping the future - Supporting our farming community

At Seafield Vets, we are proud to serve the rural farming community of Moray. We work closely with pedigree beef and sheep farmers, supporting them at the times they need us most. As part of our Farm24 team, you'll provide seamless and sustainable 24-hour cover for our clients and their businesses.

This is a fantastic opportunity to focus on farm and equine emergencies while enjoying an enviable work-life balance. Our model allows daytime vets to concentrate on routine and preventative work, while our dedicated Out of Hours vets deliver vital emergency care during evenings and weekends.

A varied and exciting emergency caseload

This role offers significant exposure to farm and equine emergencies, with surgical obstetrics featuring strongly, making it an excellent opportunity for a surgically minded vet. You will need to be confident in handling night-time emergencies and working independently, while also building strong and lasting relationships with our local farmers and practice teams. Emergencies can be attended from the comfort of your own home if you live locally, or from our provided accommodation during your working week.

The caseload is varied, with busy spring months bringing plenty of obstetric challenges, balanced by quieter periods in the summer that allow for valuable downtime. Based in Keith, the central hub of the geographical area we cover, you will play an integral role in our emergency response team, supporting farms and equine clients across Moray.

Work-life balance

We believe excellent veterinary care should never come at the expense of your wellbeing. That's why our Out of Hours rota is built around balance:

1. One week on, three weeks off - giving you 3 weeks free out of every 4
2. Shifts run 6pm to 8am, Monday to Sunday during your on-call week.
3. Option to discuss a 1 week on / 1 week off pattern if preferred (salary adjusted accordingly).

This rota gives you the freedom to truly enjoy your time off - whether it's climbing Munros, exploring the North Coast 500, canoeing the River Spey, or simply relaxing and recharging.

What we offer

4. Salary up to £31,000 DOE (based on 1 week on / 3 weeks off)
5. Up to £7,500 relocation allowance
6. Vehicle and accommodation provided
7. Visa sponsorship available
8. Comfortable on-site accommodation during working weeks
9. Standard IVC Evidensia benefits, including holiday allowance (taken during off weeks)

Life in Moray

Located in the beautiful northeast of Scotland, Keith is ideally placed to access both the Moray coastline and the Cairngorms National Park. With stunning landscapes, rich farming heritage, and welcoming communities, it's the perfect base for your next veterinary adventure. From whisky trails to wildlife watching, there's plenty to enjoy in your downtime.
